About the practice

Maplebase Commerce Prism is a Ho Chi Minh City analytics practice that sits with ecommerce operators long enough to turn noisy exports into funnel maps and retention curves they can act on.

Registered name and history

The official registered business name is Maplebase Commerce Prism Co., Ltd. The company was established in 2018 in District 7, Ho Chi Minh City, after its founders spent years reconciling marketing reports with finance ledgers for local storefronts and marketplace sellers.

Early work focused on single-channel funnel maps for fashion and beauty catalogs. By 2021 the practice expanded into cohort retention studies and multi-channel marketplace reads as more Vietnamese brands sold simultaneously on their own sites and major marketplaces. Today the office at 1240C Huynh Tan Phat hosts briefings for merchants who want quiet, annotated charts rather than another slide template.

Mission

Help ecommerce teams in Vietnam agree on what their conversion funnels, cohort retention, and sales performance actually show—before they spend the next campaign budget.

Working approach

We begin with vocabulary. Session, checkout start, paid order, and fulfilled order must mean the same thing to marketing, ops, and finance. Only then do we draw the funnel. Retention windows follow category reality: beauty refills differ from furniture first purchases. Seasonal annotations for Tết and mid-year sales are written onto the chart, not smoothed away.

People

Engagements are led by senior analysts who have worked inside retail operations and agency reporting rooms. Client-facing briefings stay in English with Vietnamese operational context when needed. Junior analysts prepare data cleaning under review; findings are never handed off without a named lead.

Values

  • Prefer annotated honesty over decorative charts
  • Respect the calendar that shapes Vietnamese buying
  • Keep deliverables reusable in internal meetings
  • Quote scope clearly before work begins
